In 2020, ACTION Group generated a net profit of PLN 185,110 thousand, with revenues up by 25.8 per cent and costs down by 3.27 per cent, while the margin reached a high level of 6.3 per cent.

ACTION Group closed last year with improved financial performance, successfully completed the restructuring proceedings and expanded key areas of its business, i.e., Value Added Distribution (VAD) in Poland and sales of consumer products abroad.

For Action, the year 2020 was a time of testing whether the strategy developed during the restructuring process would prove effective in response to the pandemic. Judging by the good financial performance and increased market confidence, this proved to be a very successful period for the Company. It showed that in difficult times the leading Polish distributor from Zamienie/near Warsaw was ready to grow even more dynamically.

A memorable year in the history of Action S.A. is behind us. It was a time of seized opportunities and active development in key areas for us. This includes optimising our operations and rebuilding market confidence. Also, thanks to the successful completion of our restructuring process, this March Action returned to the main indices of the Warsaw Stock Exchange, WIG and WIG-Poland – says Piotr Bieliński, President and CEO of ACTION S.A.

We are fully back in the game in an increasingly competitive market

In 2020, Action consolidated its new business model developed during the restructuring process with a modified organizational and revitalized cost structure. This allows the Company to actively grow organically based on the adopted strategy, but also on changes observed in the distribution market.

When Amazon confirmed its entry into our market earlier this year, we saw this as an opportunity. Firstly, because we have been cooperating with Amazon for many years, so their expansion to Poland means intensifying our business cooperation and facilitating operational processes. In terms of our international business, we continue to pursue our strategy and develop on the markets where Amazon has been present for years. And in Poland, thanks to our focus on Value-Added Distribution (VAD), we are not competing with each other – concludes Sławomir Harazin, Vice-President of the Board, ACTION S.A.
