Action becomes a triple IT Champion

During this year’s edition of the IT Champion popularity poll, organised by the industry publication IT Reseller, Action S.A. achieved as many as three distinctions: for the Activejet brand in the category “Producer of Consumables”, for Action Business Centre in the category “IT Training and Education Centre” and for our Management Board in the category “Editor’s Special Award”.

The purpose of the IT Champion popularity poll is to highlight leading products and services in individual IT categories. Representatives of the IT market and the IT Reseller’s readers voted for these three major distinctions to be awarded to Action:

  • To the Management Board of Actions S.A. for its perseverance, commitment and continued effort to preserve the company and its workplaces
  • To Action Business Centre for supporting partners in growth in the face of ever growing market expectations
  • To Activejet for maintaining a leading position in the market of alternative consumables in the context of a strategic change at Action.

Action wins Intel 2015 Distributor Sales Challenge

In keeping with its annual tradition, Intel has announced the winners of its annual contest for key distributors. The awards were available in two categories: "New Customer & New Business Performance" and "Best Performance against the 2015 Revenue Plan". The Polish distributor, Action S.A., received an award in the first category, achieving the highest score in the Region of Europe and Israel.

"Thanks to our efforts aimed at expanding the market, Action has achieved the highest score in terms of the number of new customers and sales of Intel products to new partners in the Region of Europe and Israel in 2015. The sales of server products for that period constituted 10% of the awarded result," said Paweł Magott, Distribution Business Manager at Intel.

The award in the "New Customer & New Business Performance" category was also granted to distributors with the highest score in the Region of the Middle East, Turkey, Africa, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. The "Intel 2015 Distributor Sales Challenge" was announced last year at the meeting for partners of the Distributor Enabling Conference.

"The award is a token of appreciation for our close and effective partnership with Intel. The title of best distributor in the Region of Europe and Israel confirms the efficiency of our sales activities conducted through different channels, not only in the Polish market, but also internationally. We have a full range of tools to ensure effective support for our customers and presellers, enabling them to reach the products and most desirable channels," commented Sławomir Harazin, Vice-President of Action S.A.

It is not the only prize Action S.A. received from Intel this year. An individual award in the category of the best Intel Product Manager in 2015 was awarded to Michał Miłkowski, a long-term employee of Action S.A., currently responsible for business development and expansion with a German company, Action Europe.

"A double award from Intel is a good summary of our successful partnership with this vendor. Thanks to our effective development strategy, the ACTION Group is moving closer to the top. We work in many distribution areas and through many distribution channels of Intel, both in Poland and in Germany. Furthermore, only Action offers Intel vouchers for component products in Poland," said Michał Miłkowski.

Action S.A. named "Distributor of the Year" for the third time by Mobility Trends 2014

During the prestigious Mobility Trends 2014 Gala, awards were handed out to outstanding companies in terms of their levels of services and products in modern technology industries. This was the third time that ACTION S.A. has been awarded the title of Distributor of the Year. The company received the "Golden Bell" award for the consistent expansion of its distribution network, its contact with customers and its support for manufacturers.

Sławomir Harazin, Vice-President of the Management Board, received the award on behalf of the company.
"A third 'Golden Bell' in a row for ACTION proves that the company is growing in the right direction, and that this is recognised in the industry. The jury has recognised our commitment to not resting on our laurels, despite having a well-established market position. We regularly expand our product range, as we are keen to make inroads into new industries. We are looking for new niche products, as well as those with the potential of becoming market leaders. Our task is to help customers, resellers, and manufacturers to effectively reach the required channels and products. We have to monitor world trends and adjust our company to suit them," said Sławomir Harazin, Vice-President of ACTION S.A.

The recipients of awards in individual categories are selected by a jury composed of IT journalists from the "Mobility" and "Mobile Reseller" journals.

This year's Gala was led by Katarzyna Glinka and Maciej Dowbor. The 500 guests included representatives of industries related to a number of new technologies: equipment manufacturers, operators, resellers, business people and politicians.

Mobility Trends Gala is organised by MIT MEDIA Group, the publisher of a leading mobile technology journal, "Mobility", and the "Mobile Reseller" bi-monthly. This is the fifth year of the "Golden BELL”, intended to commemorate Alexander Graham Bell, the Scottish inventor of the telephone and many other telecommunications devices. They are given to the best products and services in the IT and telecommunications industries, and to people operating in the telecommunications and new technology industries.

ACTION S.A. among the top 10 companies globally in the Import/Export sector, according to European Business Awards (EBA)

Last September, ACTION was named the best Polish company in the Import/Export sector during the first stage of the EBA competition. Next, as the national representative, the company competed against foreign companies, finally being ranked among the top ten.

This year's edition of the European Business Awards brought together 24,000 companies from 33 European countries. In the second stage, they competed together at the international level. The participants were partly selected based on a video that each of the companies sent in, presenting the company's image and road to success, within the specified deadline. In early 2015, only the best companies in the world made it to the finals.

The results were announced and awards given on 26 February of this year. The prestigious title in the Import/Export category won ACTION a place among the largest European companies. This European Business Award confirms the strong position of the company, not only in the domestic market but also in the international one.

Action S.A. named the best distributor of Fujitsu consumer products at EMEA&I

Fujitsu placed ACTION S.A. in first place of the Touch4Business Distributor Award 2015 Competition. Another edition of the competition, related to distribution by Fujitsu Technology Solutions, covered the period from November 2014 to February 2015. The awards were given to the three best distributors from the EMEA&I region, who achieved the best results in terms of sales increase and growth rate for Fujitsu business consumer products (workstations and notebooks) in this period.

This year's edition brought together 56 distributors from the whole region, including 3 distributors from Poland. Action S.A. won by a landslide. "This is an effect of our long-term and high levels of cooperation with the local office of the manufacturer and the full commitment of the dedicated Fujitsu team within the Enterprise Department," said Marek Jaszczuk, Director of the Enterprise Department at Action S.A.

The company's first place in the European, Middle Eastern and African region is an impressive result, which shows that close and partnership-based cooperation corresponds to fast and dynamic sales growth. The concerted efforts and commitment of both teams, plus our growing number of partner resellers, are yielding excellent results and creating encouraging perspectives for the years to come," says Tomasz Sorokoa, Distribution Account Manager – Client Computing Devices, Fujitsu.

The awarded distributors and manufacturer account managers from individual countries visited the Fujitsu headquarters in Tokyo and the factory in Shimane. They also took part in a number of business meetings with the manufacturer's representatives as part of the week's stay in Japan.
