Sponsorship

Warsaw Run

On 4 October 2009, 20,000 people started in the Warsaw Run, the largest running event in Poland. Participants were given two hours to finish the 10 km course through the centre of Warsaw. The generous time limit enabled everyone to complete the distance and made allowances for the disadvantages faced by disabled people. The event was sponsored by Action S.A., the City of Warsaw was a strategic partner, and Warsaw Mayor, Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, was an honorary patron. The Ministry of Sport and Tourism, the Masovia Local Government Authority and Nike also partnered the Warsaw Run.

Mróz ActiveJet

Spółka Action S.A. has been sponsoring a professional road bicycle racing team since 2003. The team's full name is Profesjonalna Grupa Kolarska ACTION (the Actional Professional Bicycle Road Racing Group) and it is known as the ?dream team? of Polish cycling. They dominate national bicycle racing and proudly represent Poland internationally with outstanding results.

We can be happy that the leading brand in the distribution sector has been supporting our team all these years. Sport and competitiveness is the passion that binds us. In business, as in sport, this is what lends the enterprise its worth and flavour. Striving to be the best is the essence of healthy competition and thanks to ACTION we can keep getting better and represent our country abroad, says Piotr Kosmala, co-founder and manager of the team.

Poland's most decorated cyclists either ride, or have ridden, in the team colours. The team's Division II ranking is the highest in the UCI (International Cyclist Union) and it boasts five Polish champions, three Olympians, ten world championship contenders and four Tour de Pologne winners.

I'll just give a couple of figures to give an idea of how strenuous the Polish cycling season is. Every member of the group covers 30,000 km annually, going through as many as five bikes. And he's on the road 200 days a year! This shows the degree of effort required to really matter in the world, adds Piotr Kosmala.

Computer equipment manufacturers like NVIDIA and ATI have also helped sponsor the cycling team over the years. Intel® Corporation got involved in the project in 2005-2007. The cycling group has been operating under the name Mróz ActiveJet since 2010. In this way they promote Action S.A.'s ActiveJet brand.

Warsaw Grand Prix

Action S.A. has been sponsoring a 5 km race since 2009. The fact that the race is the initiative of the Chairman of the Action S.A. Management Board, Piotra Bieliński, is worth mentioning.

In my opinion, a 5 km competition is a wonderful experience for young and old alike and proves that running can be for everyone. For this reason, more and more people who lead an active lifestyle are happy to compete in the 5 km Warsaw Grand Prix says Piotr Bieliński, Chairman of the Action S.A. Management Board.
